Is locking up women an answer to reduce violence against them?

So safety and freedom cannot go hand in hand for women, I suppose.

But locking up women and creating a safe environment goes together, apparently!

First of all, violence against most women starts from their own household and family! And the more we lock them up… The more they become vulnerable and the more we are increasing the chance of violence when they really go out!

Secondly, instead of creating a safer environment for women, they are being morally policed and ripped from their basic freedom that men enjoy very casually.

When abuse & mistreatment happens against women, instead of taking action on the culprits, they search for reasons to justify the perpetrators by blaming the victims for being…,well, “not acting like how women should be”!

Unless we [society] stop restricting women from their complete expression of freedom with stupid moral rules, society can never truly be safe for us [women]! Because then perpetrators are always gonna find reasons for victim blaming!

It’s slowly improving.. People are getting educated and the mindset is shifting …….Yet a long way to go!
